a and 1.4 I already love it I hope it comes out soon amanda the adventurer 1.4

the game is very amazing horror very well i give it a 10/10 amanda and woolie are literally enemies

This game got me good, sadly only half of my footage could manage the full game so I'd probably have to return to it some day

im just glad i found out that itch is popular!

Great Game!

game scary update 1.3 good

A very creepy, intriguing and overall strange experience but a very good one nonetheless i very much enjoyed this game keep up all your good work can't wait to see what you have next for us all!

Where 1.4 Update

I love this game. It's short but does a good job at creating an eerie feeling in you. I had a theory about how to save Wooley but doubt it's right lol. Hopefully there will be more to the game in the future because I'm invested.

Just found another ending...

The game seemed interesting to me while I would play more such wonderful projects

Just played it, Another solid horror game, I know its ment to be short but I would love more content. Maybe like you can Explore a room/hub-world as a kid and go to the tv and the more Cursed it gets the Scarier the room becomes until its just blood and darkness

Amanda the Adventurer is just a normal, run of the mill kids game where a cutesy lead character teaches you spelling and how to follow orders; just like the old school little kids TV shows, this game has nothing that anyone over the age of 12 would find interesting at all.

***Spoilers***
With that being said, this point and click adventure is nothing short of the type of shared nightmare everyone thinks they saw growing up late at night; while the premise of the game is simple, each tape further develops Amanda from a Dora clone to something straight out of the SCP universe, so much so that she's able to break the forth wall. Including the secret tapes, the game presents itself as a possible ARG with each tape showing either a location, IRL locations, and an ominous map with a location.
***End Spoilers***

In terms of glitches or bugs, the game follows are very strict and linear path for story telling with your decisions only really affecting one section of the game; while there's nothing wrong with this, the game is more reminiscent of the old style horror flash games where you just click the right sequence of things on screen.

All in all, Amanda the Adventurer is a fun little horror game that really leans on the Found Footage trope that seems like the start of something bigger by this developer!

My playthrough:

Getting all the secrets cause I wanna know more . Also I wonder if you can save the lamb???

Had this game on my radar for a while, so I'm glad to finally get to play it!

I really enjoyed the concept (that's the main reason it interested me), and it was executed well!

Not sure if this is the last we'll see of these characters, but good luck with any future projects!

I have a theory for this game:

I haven't played this game myself, but I did watch a lot of walkthroughs on the game, and I noticed something while watching GTLive's second playthrough on the game.

Before we get into the theory, we need to get into the things I noticed:

1: Amanda can control the VHS tape.

2: Woolie is indeed scared of Amanda.

3: Wooly cant control the tapes.

Using these facts, we can find a theory that there are not 2 entities, but 3.

When we play the first VHS tape, Amanda wants to go to the store to buy some apples, what I noticed was a black shadow behind a bush. I didn't take that much heed to it, but then I went to the second tape, where Amanda wants to go to the Butcher to get some meat for Grandma (she is a vegetarian). What I noticed was some polygon trash thingy just below where Wooly (or Woolie)  and Amanda are standing. This irked me because, number one, it's in an alley, and two, Wooly is scared, like he doesn't want to be there. When we go inside the butcher shop and ask the butcher for meat, Amanda, disturbingly, stares at Wooly, and the VHS ends, with no end credits. The third tape shows Amanda outside our house (you've heard it right, OUR HOUSE, *Soviet Union anthem plays*) then she starts to transform.

I don't wanna include the secret tapes, because I believe it's not relevant to the theory itself.

So, to start with my theory, let's analyze the plot itself. We are gonna focus on Wooly because he is the variable in our theory. In the First VHS tape, Amanda wants to go to the market to get some apples. In this tape, Wooly seems calm and relaxed (a little, because he is allergic to apples). In the end credits, we get a secret message written, TURN THE TV OFF NOW. Now you might be thinking, huh, this might be Wooly tryna warn us. Well, you are wrong, if Amanda can control the atmosphere of the VHS tape, that means Amanda is giving us this message. In the second VHS tape, oh boy, let's say things take a dark turn from here. Wooly is warning us about something before the VHS tape glitches back to normal. Now the polygon trash thing, what is that? Some sort of poop? In my opinion, its not trash nor poop, its the remains of Amanda's past self, want proof? Here it is. If we combine the plot of the first and second VHS tapes, we get ourselves a story. Amanda and Wooly are getting apples when suddenly Entity No.3 eventually tries to take control over Amanda, so, Amanda, with her powers failing, decides to give us the warning to stop watching the tapes, that's when Entity No.3 kills Amanda and takes her form. Meanwhile, Wooly is manipulated by Entity No.3  to keep quiet. When Entity No.3 kills someone else and buries them, Wooly breaks free from its control, thus killing him. Hence, this is why Wooly is gone from the Third VHS tape, replacing a pile of wool in his place.

I hope this theory will spark a new perspective on the story itself.

Peace.
